North Shore Community College is excited to announce the reopening of the Lynn Access Point office!
The MASSHIRE – North Shore Career Center, located in Room LE- 102 (located directly across campus library) at the Lynn campus in The North Shore Community College, has reopened its doors to provide Job Search Assistance, Unemployment Guidance, Career Coaching Services, and Training Opportunities. These services will assist residents of Lynn and immediate surrounding communities like Nahant, Saugus, and Swampscott.
“We are here to assist residents in the North Shore Community with career coaching and training opportunities. If residents in our community feel that they are under-employed or certainly unemployed and are in need of an industry certification | training, The North Shore Workforce Development is willing to grant the cost of this certification | training” says Quendia Martinez, Career Coaching Advisor. Many of our program’s participants, says Mrs. Martinez; feel they need a career coach to reach a career goal. We are here to advise and connect our participants with Industry-specific partners, employers, and training opportunities.
Srey Peov Maiy, the Job Specialist at MASSHIRE, North Shore Career Center, says she assists participants with job opportunities. The Business Engagement Team, says Mrs. Maiy-Ouer, is working diligently with Industry Specific Employers to obtain information on career positions and connect our customers with these positions. These positions are reviewed by us daily, and we make referrals to these positions as often as possible. It’s has been my pleasure to assist my community in their search for careers and positions; Here in Lynn and surrounding communities, concluded Mrs. Maiy.
The MASSHIRE – North Shore Career Center headquarters is located at 70 Washington Street in Salem, MA. At the Salem Career Center, North Shore residents can participate in virtual career readiness workshops, such as Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, Using Age to your Advantage, among many more workshops. These services are only offered at the Salem Career Center, however, any of our staff members in Lynn may be able to assist with scheduling these services that are offered at NO COST! The Lynn Access Point Office is located at North Shore Community College – Thomas McGee Building – 300 Broad Street, Lynn, MA 01901 in Room, LE 102 and it is open from Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM. A Veterans Representative and Youth Services Representative will be available on alternate days. A Career Coach Advisor, a Job Specialist, and an Employment Counselor are on-site Monday through Thursday.
