MASSHIRE – North Shore Career Center
is excited to announce
Stipend Payments for Customers in Occupational Skills.
The purpose of stipend payments is to assist eligible MassHire-North Shore Career Center customers in defraying non-training costs associated with participating in approved training activities.
There are three different stipend programs with different payment schedules based
on the length of the training schedule which are listed as follows:
A. For 1 to 17 weeks in training programs–two (2) payment requests totaling $500:
- $250* – Upon completion of the first two weeks after training begins and upon receipt of participant invoice.
- $250* – Upon completion of training and placement into training-related employment
B. For 18 to 34 weeks in training programs–three (3) payment requests totaling
$2,000:
- $ 600* – Two weeks after training begins
- $ 600* – Halfway through training based on the number of weeks
- $ 800* – Upon completion of training and placement into training-related employment
C. For 35 or more weeks in training programs–three (3) payment requests totaling $3,000:
- $ 900* – Two weeks after training begins
- $ 900* – Halfway through training based on the number of weeks of the program
- $ 1,200* – Upon completion of training and placement into training-related employment
