Employment Services Available For Eligible Massachusetts Veterans

Veterans are encouraged to take advantage of any of the following Career Center Services:
- resume & cover letter guidance
- mock interviewing assistance
- assessment of current transferrable skills
- job matching and job placement assistance
- potential training for career changers or those lookiung to upskill
- access to on-site technology (computer/phone.fax/copier)
- additional job readiness webinars
Veterans – Priority Service
The Career Center provides priority employment and training services to Veterans and their families. All Career Center staff are prepared to assist our visiting Veterans and in addition two dedicated staff of Veteran Employment Representatives are available help North Shore Veterans seek civilian employment and training. Eligible Veterans and eligible spouses will receive Priority of Service throughout the full array of services provided through the One-Stop Career Center Systems and are entitled to the following services and resources.
Employment:
- Resume & Application Assistance
- Vocational Guidance
- Job Referrals
- Information on federal, state and local government employment opportunities
- Career Exploration tools
- Job Search Assistance and workshops
Training:
- Information on educational and training programs
- Referral to training programs including VA Vocational Rehabilitation
- Help create their own personal employment plan, an easy and effective way to help them manage your job search.
- Help identify job goals and develop a step-by-step “action plan” to get the right job for them.
- Help veterans learn how to customize their job search, refine planning efforts, contact employers, and schedule interviews that match your skills and interests.
- Help identify sources for financial assistance for training programs.
