Search Industries By Job

If your education and training is job specific, you may want to look at some strong online industry-specific job listings such as: Monster, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter. Many of these sites offer career advice articles for specific industries including: retail, engineering, hospitality, healthcare, sales, human resources, finance, legal, and administrative industries.

Search By Industries with Largest Employment

According to CareerOneStop online, searching for industries that are currently hiring and have stability into the future, or promising future growth, is a smart idea for job seekers.

Given the current economic climate, it is understandable that the industries including education, healthcare, and grocery/speciality food stores are in high demand. The global pandemic is determining the current employment supply and demand needs.

Search By Salary and Pay Scale

If you are in need of employment, you are of course interested in salary and regaining a paycheck weekly or biweekly. If you are hoping to enter an industry that has the opportunity to advance in position (and in salary,) you may want to complete a search that includes which industries offer higher pay scales or the promise of upward mobility.

Some of the current industries that are indicating the higher scale salaries include: Portfolio Management, Investment Banking, Computer Manufacturing, and Securities Exchanges. For some, these industries in the financial sector may be just their cup-of-tea. However, if these areas are not in your training or education range, you may want to refine your search by current jobs that are considered “in-demand.” Those fast-growing industries currently include: mental health practitioners, home healthcare aides, and electronic shopping or delivery services for obvious reasons.
