HVAC

Install or repair heating, central air conditioning, HVAC, or refrigeration systems, including oil burners, hot-air furnaces, and heating stoves.
On the job, you would:
  • Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area.
  • Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers’ recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.

Plumbing Tier 1

Our adult students in the Plumbing Tier 1 plumbing program will learn how to perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems under the supervision of experienced plumbers. Responsibilities include tasks like repairing leaks and clogged drains, installing new pipes and fixtures, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. This entry-level position is a stepping stone for new plumbers to gain experience before becoming fully licensed.  INDUSTRY SPECIFIC CERTIFICATIONS provided.

Eligibility:

  • Massachusetts Resident
  • High School – HiSET
  • Be over the age of 18
  • Not currently attending high school
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Make less than $61,200 per year
  • Be willing to go to work immediately upon graduation in the field in which they were trained
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid state ID (driver’s license strongly recommended)
